Northern Districts Cricket will be welcoming BLACKCAP Colin de Grandhomme to their association this summer.

Having bought a property in Tauranga, the international all-rounder decided to transfer to the Northern Districts association, de Grandhomme previously played his domestic cricket for Auckland.

"I have a lot of respect for Auckland Cricket and want to thank the team and the staff for everything they've done for me over the years," said de Grandhomme.

"It was a hard decision, but I'm looking forward to representing Northern Districts in a big season ahead."

Northern Districts Cricket CEO Ben MacCormack is looking forward to seeing the Zimbabwe born player donning the pink kit this summer, saying "de Grandhomme is a world class player who consistently delivers in all 3 formats of the game.  He will be a great asset to us especially for our defense of the Burger King Super Smash title this coming season."

Colin de Grandhomme is currently in India with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the IPL and will join his new team mates for Spring training.  ND will announce their full list of contracted players in July.
