Northern Districts Named for Round 2 of the Ford Trophy Against Canterbury

Injuries will again hamper Northern Districts as they strive for their first win of the Ford Trophy one day national tournament.  Facing Canterbury at Seddon Park tomorrow, the ND side will be without Daniel Flynn who featured earlier this week, but has battled across the season to overcome a recurring hip injury.  Former New Zealand Under 19 representative Brett Randell has been called up in the Northern Districts 12 to replace Daryl Mitchell who is out with a calf strain. Bharat Popli, Tony Goodin, James Baker and Henry Cooper remain unavailable due to their injuries, as does Joe Walker who is recovering from an illness.  In some better news on the injury front, Tim Seifert returns to the team having previously been out with a hamstring/knee strain.
